KARACHI: Search operations by Sindh Rangers forces in different areas of the city resulted in the apprehension of at least six suspects including two political party militant wing members.
The rangers raided different hideouts located in Shah Faisal Colony, Korangi, New Karachi and Malir areas on Tuesday and rounded up six suspected persons including a member of banned group.
A Sindh Rangers spokesperson said that the operation was conducted against terrorist and criminal elements. Among the detainees, one hailed from a proscribed terrorist outfit, while two were affiliated with the militant wing of a political party. He further said that weapons were also recovered from the suspects’ possessions, which were to be utilised in terrorist activities.
The suspects have been shifted to an undisclosed location for further investigations.
