LAHORE: Interior Minister Chaudhary Nisar Ali Khan held a meeting with Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Shahbaz Sharif on Saturday.
They overviewed the security arrangements for PSL final in Lahore. Shahbaz Sharif thanked the federal government for its cooperation in security arrangements for the match.
The CM said that every possible step will be taken to ensure security without affecting routine life in the metropolis. Shahbaz Sharif said that the federal government will be requested to provide helicopters for air surveillance.
During the meeting, both the leaders vehemently rejected the statement of opposition leaders that sixty thousand security officials are being deployed for Pakistan Super League Final.
They said that only ten thousand security personnel are being deployed for the final which is a normal practice for such a mega event. On this occasion, Chaudhry Nisar also briefed Shahbaz Sharif about the high level security meeting which was held in Islamabad the other day.
