LAHORE: City police provided foolproof security arrangements for the Jumma prayers.
In order to ensure strict security arrangements, more than 5,000 police officials performed duties at all important places across the city on Friday.
According to police sources, security arrangements were beefed up outside at all city mosques, other religious places, markets, government and important buildings. Police high-ups also deputed specially trained snipers at the rooftops of buildings located adjacent with all important, mosques, markets, bazaars and other public places entire the city.
CCPO Capt (r) Amin Wains said that Lahore Police is employing all possible resources in order to secure lives and assets of the citizens and all the officers and cops are playing significant role in war against terrorism.
He added that public’s cooperation is a must in the war against national evil. All divisional SPs patrolled in their areas to ensure security arrangements on all the mosques and religious places, whereas Dolphin force and Police Response Unit have also patrolled on all the main roads of the city.
The CCPO said that police contingent was also beefed up at all entry and exit points of the city, where police are checking the all vehicles and people through latest technology. Senior police officers also monitored security arrangements at all important religious places as well other government and private buildings physically and via CCTV cameras.
