ISLAMABAD: Pakistani High Commissioner to India Abdul Basit has said that there is national consensus on maintaining relations with India.
“There is a national consensus on maintaining relations with India. The matters will move forward if talks are held on Kashmir issue along with terrorism,” he said in an interview with the Indian media. “Incidents like Kulbhushan Yadav and Samjhota Express are the problems in bilateral relations,” he said. “Pakistan has always opposed terrorism and we have been condemning it. Pakistan wants better relations with India and we are working on this,” he said. “Both countries should try to resolve their problems through talks,” he said.
