ISLAMABAD: Pakistani Senator and Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Sirajul Haq while talking to media outside the Supreme Court on Wednesday said that the main focus of all the political parties should be to end corruption, poverty, illiteracy and unemployment.
He said that the parties should wage a war against these ailments.
Sirajul Haq prayed for the speedy recovery of the judge so that the hearing should continue and SC can give its decision on the Panama Leaks case.
He said that the ruling family was trying to conceal the facts on technical grounds and by taking shelter behind the letters from Qatar.
He said that because of corruption, the country has to face problems of poverty, unemployment, disease and crime. He said that his party has approached the court with the hope that it would devise a strategy against corruption. He expressed that his party hoped that Pakistan would become corruption free.
He said money should be recovered from the people who have looted it and they should be held accountable for it.
He stressed that those involved in corruption and those who have been named in the Panama Leaks should be held accountable and sent to prison so that the menace should be wiped out. He said that his party had started its campaign against corruption long before the Panama leaks which had exposed the corruption of the ruling family.
