NAWABSHAH: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Bajwa reached Nawabshah on Friday afternoon to pay a visit to those who were injured in the deadly Sehwan blast.
According to media reports, the PM and COAS were accompanied by Finance Minister Ishaq Dar, Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar, Chief Minister Sindh Syed Murad Ali Shah and Sindh Governor Muhammad Zubair.
At least 80 people were martyred and over 300 injured in a suicide attack on the shrine of Lal Shahbaz Qalandar on Thursday.
Taluka Hospital in Sehwan confirmed the death toll of 60 men, four women and six children, adding that 55 of the bodies were handed over to their heirs, while 15 were unidentifiable. The medical facility further informed that among the injured, 190 men, 11 women and nine children were under treatment, while 41 wounded patients were shifted to other hospitals.
