KHYBER AGENCY: Policy of closing Torkham border will create distance between Pakistan and Afghanistan that need to be revealed. Restrictions of the border not only add loss to the national earnings process but the decision has also left thousands of local tribal unemployed.
These views were expressed by a tribal elder, Malik Darya Khan Afridi while addressing to a press conference here in Landi Kotal press club on Wednesday.
He said that imposition of resections at the border was not the solution of problems but trust deficit between two neighboring countries was the prime issue.
Once confidence restore between Islamabad and Kabul than every act regarding establishing of cordial relations between it will be successful, Darya Khan Afridi.
He suggested both the governments to avoid carrying out such kind of acts that harm ties between it.
He appreciated temporary resuming of Torkham border and said that extension should be made in two days deadline so that more people were facilitated.
