ISLAMABAD: Industrial area police have arrested a drug peddler from sector I-8/4 and recovered 5.05 kilograms of hashish from his possession, a police spokesman said.
He said that high vigilance is being ensured throughout the city against anti-social elements following the directives of Islamabad SSP Sajid Kiani. He said that one of the team, headed by SHO Industrial Area Qasim Niazi – including Sub-Inspector Arshad and others – took prompt action and nabbed drug pusher Nawaz Abbassi resident of Ayubia, Abbottabad from Faizabad bus stand near sector I-8/4.
The spokesman said that the team recovered 5.05 kilogram hashish from him and further investigation was underway.
Islamabad SSP Sajid Kiani has appreciated this performance and announced cash prizes and commendation certificates for police team.
He has also directed all police officials to launch crackdown against drug pushers and curb their activities effectively.
