WAH: The opening ceremony of Chairman POF Board National Men’s Squash Championship 2017 was held at Jahangir Khan Squash Complex Wah Cantt.
Muhammad Afzal, member Production Coordination and POF Board, inaugurated the event.
POF Sports Control Board President Dr Amir Murad was also present. Ahmed Fareed of SNGPL defeated Saddamul Haq of Pakistan Army in the opening match with 3-1. This championship is being played on the basis of men’s single and the teams participating in this tournament include KP, Pakistan Navy, PIA, WAPDA, Agricultural Development Bank, Pakistan Air Force and Punjab. Addressing the event, POF Sports Control Board Secretary Asad Durrani said that POF is always striving for the promotion of sports activities in Wah Cantt and POF Sports Control Board is actively involved in providing sports facilities to the employees and their kids, this championship is the part of this endeavour. Final of the tournament will be played on April 16 at 1100hrs.
