LAHORE: Islamabad Police booked a cleric and his followers over torturing a crew of mediamen during Tehreek-i-Labbaik Ya Rasool Allah (TLYRA) sit-ins.
According to Islamabad police, TLYRA leader Hafiz Khadim Hussain Rizvi along with his followers were demonstrating sit-ins at the entering point of the capital.
Islamabad police registered a case after lodging a complaint by private TV channel’s staffers. According to First Information Report (FIR), the crew of the mediamen were attacked, tortured and threatened by the protesters of the sit-ins.
The complainant told the police that protestors snatched their cameras and smashed their vehicles.
