LAHORE: At least five people were killed in separate traffic accidents due to thick fog in Punjab.
Three people were killed when their motorcycle was hit by a tractor trolley in Burewala on Tuesday. In another incident, two other people were killed when their motorcycle was hit by a bus in Gujranwala.
The dense fog caused disruption of air and land traffic. The motorway was closed for all kinds of traffic due to low visibility while the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) has suspended flight operation in Faisalabad and Lahore. The Motorway Police directed daily commuters to avoid unnecessary travelling and to use their fog lights while travelling.
