ISLAMABAD: The preparation for Pakistan Tourism Development Corporation (PTDC) City Tour Bus Service is in its finalstages. The buses would be operated in the twin cities of Islamabad and Rawalpindi.
An official of PTDC told media thatbuses have been acquired forthe purpose and would soon be launched in the twin cities to facilitatetourists.
He said that artists were busy in designing these buses whichwould soon provide pick and drop for tourists to various famous landmarks of twin cities including Faisal Mosque, Zoo, RawalLake, F-9 park, LokVirsa Museum, Children Park as well as Ayub Park inRawalpindi and Taxila Museum.
The official said that in this regard, preparations were in full swingand the District Administration had already approved the No objection certificate (NOC).
He said that managing director of PTDC held various meetings withdepartments concerned and the Private School Association (PSA) tofinalise the pilot project.
The official said that discounted packages would be offeredto students. He said that City Tour Buses would haveall the facilities as per International standards.
“If the pilot project is successful, then the number ofbuses will be increased and would be run three to four days a week,”he said.
