ISLAMABAD: Around 100 terrorists were killed while a sizeable number of others were apprehended during last 24 hours in intelligence-based and combing operations by security agencies in parts of the country including Punjab.
As per orders of Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa, response to recent terror incidents is in progress across country, Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said in a press release on Friday. “IBOs and combing operations are in progress across the country including Punjab,” it read.
“No cross border/unauthorised entry will be allowed to Pakistan from Afghanistan. Security forces have been given special orders in this regard to have strict watch all along the border.”
Karachi: At least 18 alleged terrorists were killed in a raid carried out in Ziarat Mai Garhi, Manghopir area on Friday, said a spokesman of Pakistan Rangers Sindh.
Arms and ammunition was also seized from the possession of the alleged terrorists said to be affiliated with a proscribed organisation. Identity of some of them, killed during exchange of fire with the law enforcers, was said to have been confirmed through records available with the security agencies while details and information about remaining was still to be ascertained.
Tassaduq Hussain, Naushad Khan alias Munna, Shiraz Ahmed and Shiraz alias Sajjad were said to be among the terrorists whose identity was established.
Malik Tassaduq claimed to be affiliated with Lashkar e Jhangvi/Jamiat ul Ahrar was allegedly involved in several terrorism related heinous crimes with a head money of Rs.500,000. He had received training in a neighboring country and was also involved in abduction and murder

Hangu: At least 17 terrorists including four key militant commanders were killed in various search operations in Peshawar, Hangu, Orakzai, Khyber and Kurram Agencies on Friday.
Security sources said four key militant commanders were killed in Mumazo area of Lower Orakzai Agency where a search and strike operation was conducted. The forces seized suicide jackets and arms from the location.
In another encounter in Lower Kurram Agency, security forces intercepted two terrorists who were planting an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) on roadside and after exchange of firing, both were killed.
In Tora Wari area of Hangu, the forces killed two terrorists while their accomplices fled.
Likewise, six terrorists were killed and 10 of their hideouts were destroyed during airstrikes near Pak-Afghan border in Khyber Agency on Friday. At least 10 hideouts of the terrorists were also destroyed.
In Peshawar, the security forces conducted a search operation in Regi area of Peshawar and killed three terrorists, said local police said.
Noshki: The Frontier Constabulary (FC) arrested 20 suspects during a search operation in the Noshki area of Quetta on Friday.
Following the Sehwan attack, FC carried out the search operation and arrested 20 suspects. The identity of the suspects could not be ascertained immediately.
Helpline: Pakistan Army Friday established specific telephonic help lines across the country for the public to inform any terror related suspicious activity. General public has been asked to report suspicious activity in Punjab, Balochistan and Sindh regarding terrorists at universal number 1135 and in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa 1125. Both the telephone numbers, in their respective areas, could be dialed directly without any code from any mobile phone or landline number.
