LARKANA: Police foiled a robbery attempt near highway within the limits of Dhamrah Police Station late Monday night.
Larkana police team claimed that, on a tip-off, SHO Dhamrah, along with a heavy contingent of police, reached the spot near Nangar water-logging drain where an encounter between them and criminals took place.
During firing, a criminal, Mir Hassan Machhi, sustained bullet injuries and was arrested along with a weapon, while three of his accomplices fled from the scene due to darkness.
The injured was rushed to the Accident and Emergency Centre of the Chandka Medical College Hospital in Larkana where his condition was stated to be stable. Police have started probe into the matter.
