ISLAMABAD: Both Pakistan and Kashmir are incomplete without each other while the deterrence of Kashmiris against India is basically the defence of Pakistan, said Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) President, Sardar Masood Khan, on Saturday.
Addressing a students’ convention organised by Anjuman Talba-e-Islam (ATI) Pakistan, the AJK president said that the people of Pakistan and the AJK are against terrorism and fully support Operation Radd-ul-Fassad.
Highlighting the upward trend in Pakistan’s economy, he said that international organizations had accepted that the economy of Pakistan was moving in right direction. “As half of the Pakistani population consists of young people, it is time for them to be careful and attentive to take the benefits of positive advancement in the economy.”
In his address, ATI Central Present, Syed Buo Ali Shah, demanded the government lift the ban on students’ unions and implement the National Action Plan in letter and in spirit.
Speaking on the occasion, former member of the National Assembly, Dr Abu Al-Khair Zubair, urged the United Nations to take notice of Indian brutalities in Indian-held Kashmir and play an effective role to resolve the decades long dispute according to its own resolutions.
A declaration demanding the inclusion of a chapter on the topic of the finality of Prophethood, implementation of the Supreme Court’s verdict regarding the Urdu language and a release of names of those seminaries involved in facilitating terrorism, was also adopted by the convention.
Former minister, Pir Noorul Haq Qadri, Pakistan Falah Party President Qazi Attiqueur Rehman, Muslim Hands International Country Head Syed Ziaun Noor Shah and eminent lawyers of the city and a large number of students from different corners of Pakistan and Azad Jammu and Kashmir participated in the event.
