ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader MNA Maiza Hameed said on Monday that successfully holding Pakistan Super League (PSL) final match was a matter of pride for the nation.
Talking to radio Pakistan, she praised the role played by Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif in maintaining peaceful atmosphere across the city during the final.
The MNA said that the nation also appreciated the government’s efforts in holding PSL final in Lahore, as the step would prove to be a catalyst in terms of revival of international games in Pakistan.
She said many analysts were expressing their reservations in holding the final in Lahore, but the government made it possible through efficient planning and untiring resolve.
“We are hopeful that this final will help bring more international players to Pakistan,” she added.
