KARACHI: Former Sindh Information Minister Sharjeel Memon on Sunday said that the Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan was quick in putting cricketers on the Exist Control List (ECL), but he has taken no action against the Sharifs for their involvement in Panamagate.
Speaking to media at his residence, he said that Pakistan cannot work according to Chaudhry Nisar’s wishes.
Memon asked, “Why Nisar didn’t include the Sharif family’s name on the ECL over the Panama case?”
He added the interior minister should have also included Finance Minister Ishaq Dar’s name in the ECL for money laundering. He maintained he trusts the law and has thus voluntarily surrendered before the courts.
The former Sindh minister said he is still a member of Pakistan People’s Party (PPP).He criticised the Pakistan Muslim-League-Nawaz (PML-N) government for vicitimising political workers.
Memon said the PML-N gathering in Hyderabad on Monday (today) will comprise mainly of government employees, while that of PPP is for the people.
