LAHORE: Lahore High Court Chief Justice Mansoor Ali Shah has directed the petitioner Mehmood Naqvi to present related documents in court in respect of the petition filed by him against acquittal of prime minister and his family in NAB reference.
The petitioner took the plea that the accountability court had acquitted Sharif family in Ittefaq Foundry reference and the NAB chairman didn’t file any appeal against their acquittal while it was their legal responsibility.
The petitioner alleged that non-filing of appeal by NAB chairman against acquittal of Sharif family shows NAB’s ill intent.
The petitioner prayed the court that because Sharif family is the defaulter of National Bank, therefore the court should seek a detailed record of Sharif family’s acquittal.
The court, while directing the petitioner to file the related documents about acquittal of Sharif family, adjourned the hearing of the case till March 27.
