HYDERABAD: Muttahida Qaumi Movement-London’s (MQM) leader Momin Khan Momin’s bail plea was accept by a district and session court on Friday.
According to details, the fifth additional district and session judge accepted the bail application against a surety of Rs 50,000.
The MQM-London’s leader Momin and party’s supporters Intikhab Alam Qureshi, Tasneem Alam Qureshi, Raheel Alam Qureshi and Imran Ghauri were arrested on October 22 by Hali Road police.
The police charged them with possessing explosive material and weapons and lodged an FIR.
Earlier, the Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) remanded them to jail custody on October 24 and since they remained imprisoned in Hyderabad Central Jail.
The ATC later transferred the case to the district court for the hearing. During the hearing, Momin’s advocate Shakil Zai requested the judge to consider the plea while informing the court that his client has remained in jail for over 2 months.
