ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court on Wednesday resumed the hearing of Tayyaba torture case on Wednesday.
A final report will be presented in the court after the investigation done by the police against Tayyaba’s employers Additional Sessions Judge Raja Khurram Ali Khan and his wife Maheen Zafar. The police were given 10 days by the court to investigate the case of Tayyaba.
The final report has been prepared by the Deputy Inspector General Kashif Alam in which Maheen Zafar has been held responsible for torturing the 10-year-old maid Tayyaba.
According to an earlier medical report, 21 torture marks were found on the body of the little girl.
The DNA test reveals Mohammad Azam and Nusrat Bibi are the real parents of Tayyaba.
Tayyaba was not given medical aid for 18 hours and Raja Khurram hid the burn marks on her body.
At first Tayyaba denied that she was tortured but later on she told investigators the truth about her ordeal.
She stated before the magistrate that she was beaten and her hand was burnt on the stove for losing a broom.
