LARKANA: Benazir Bhutto Medical University Vice Chancellor Prof Ghulam Asghar Channa has asserted the way civil society gave reply to the terrorists was indeed a slap on their face.He said this while addressing the disaster management seminar, held at the new campus of the University at Areeja village.
He stated, “Terrorists had always tried to spread fear, so we must curb extremism. Sindh is the land of mystics, which has always given the lesson of love.”
Mayor Aslam Shaikh added, “We will get donation of Rs5 million from the elected representative, which will be used for improving healthcare facilities in Larkana.”
Mayor declared that Sindh is a secular entity and we hate terrorism.
Deputy Commissioner Kashif Ali Tipu commented, “We must change our imaginations about extremism as a whole to get it root out. Media should also display its responsibilities for, which we should organise more seminars to make awareness.”
University Registrar Dr Afsar Bhutto affirmed that they were grieved to hear about the body parts that were dishonoured in an inhuman manner of Sehwan blast victims. He insisted that authority should also teach the people about first aid.
