GUJRANWALA: FIA officials arrested two human traffickers and a proclaimed offender (PO) on Tuesday.
PO Zulifqar Ali Shah was involved in fraud cases while Badr Alam and Muhammad Waseem were involved in sending people abroad on bogus documents.
FIA also claimed to have arrested a member of Dr Fawad Gang, involved in illegal kidney transplant.
FIA Deputy Director Khalid Anees said that accused Abdul Majeed was working as an agent for Dr Fawad. He used to bring patients from Oman and Dubai to Pakistan for the transplant. FIA Gujranwala has handed over the accused to FIA Lahore for further interrogation.
Separately, a paper mill caught fire due to electrical short-circuit on Hafizabad Road. Material worth millions of rupees was burnt into ashes. Rescue 1122 firefighters reached on the spot and put out the fire after three hours.
