KARACHI: Sindh Home Minister Sohail Anwar Siyal directed the special branch and Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) to further increase intelligence make coordination with range police and draft comprehensive links among the all security agencies to ensure improved law and order in metropolitan.
Chairing high level meeting regarding steps for law and order in Sindh home minister took review of the contingence plan during the Ramazan and directed the all DIGs to promote advance intelligence collection at police station level.
“It will be the onus of the advance intelligence collection to make sure the receiving of all kind of information from CTD and special branch so that any untoward incident can be avoided,” he directed.
He also directed that all the DIGs, SSPs, (including traffic police official of same ranks) and other officials make sure their presence in their respective areas during the Iftar to Tarveeh prayer that will help to ensure peace during Ramazan.
He directed additional IG and zonal DIGs to conduct random snap checking, patrolling, picketing and mobile and bike patrolling so that all steps could be made comprehensive and coordinated.
Police briefed the meeting that fool proof steps being taken for the 4215 Karachi mosques, 1711 in Hyderabad, 740 Mirpurkhas, and 720 in Benaziarabad whereas Traveeh prayer held in open areas.
