PESHAWAR: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Amir Muqam has regretted over the long hour load shedding across the province and made another promise to end the crises of power by 2018.
He was chairing high level meeting of the Peshawar Electric Supply Company here at Peshawar here on Saturday, Chief Engineer Iqbal Marwat, Superintending Engineer Swat Circle Faizullah and Project Director Murad Ali Khan were also present on the occasion. Amir Muqam, who is looking the on going projects of the Prime Minister at KP said that people suffered due to unavailability of power at the province and particularly in Malakand division but the issue would be resolved by 2018 and present apology to public in this regard.
On the occasion, advisor to PM was briefed on number of on going projects of power for the Malakand division including 220-KV grid station of Thana Chakdara, alternative transmission line for Bisham, Shangla and Khwazakhela and up gradation of 132-KV grid station from 33 and 66 KV.
Amir Muqam said that first time the premier has approved number of electricity for the Malakand which will ultimately end the issues of load shedding.
He said that numbers of power projects have been tendered out and by 2018 most of them would start working, adding that Golan Goal Hydro Power Projects for Deer and Chitral were under way and by 2018 its will starts its work.
Soon after the Eid construction work on the grid stations such as Bunner, Salarzai, Puran, Makhzai, Martung and Batkhel would be commenced he added.
He urged the people to avoid their protest and attacks on the government institution of PESCO offices at the province on the provocation of political parties.
Refereeing the incident of the Dargai, when protestors after long hour of load shedding attack on WAPDA offices and security police in response open fire and killed on young boy and several injured, he said that judicial inquiry will determined the real situation.
The provincial government wants to conceal their bad performance and provoking people for protest and attacks on the power grid station he added.
