NATHIA GALI: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chief Imran Khan on Friday said that nobody had ever imagined that the Sharif family would be held accountable.
Addressing a press conference in Nathia Gali, Khan criticised the ruling party for its alleged corruption. “I see Nawaz Sharif in Adiala Jail in the near future,” he said.
He reiterated his claim of being offered money by the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) in return for staying silent on the Panama Leaks issue. “The stand of opposition parties against the PML-N has become a decisive battle now,” he said.
He said that the corruption mafia relied upon bribes and threats to get what they wanted. “Black money worth Rs 10 billion is laundered out of Pakistani accounts every year. The Sharif family purchased palaces abroad, registered under children’s names after embezzling public money. They now innocently ask about what crime they have committed. Corruption and money laundering is your crime,” he said.
The PTI chief said that Finance Minister Ishaq Dar had himself confessed that Saeed Ahmed had helped Nawaz Sharif launder money.
