LAHORE: 3P Learning Pakistan Thursday announced the winners of Pakistan Maths Challenge 2016.
The Pakistan Maths Challenges – the country’s biggest free online challenge – was organised in October in which more than 14,000 students from 80 educational institutions belonging to 24 cities of Pakistan participated.
According to results, first position was grabbed by IBA Community College, Khairpur, second was achieved by Society Public School, Lahore and third by Hamdard Public School, Lahore. The wining schools will be rewarded with special trophies, laptops, tablets, certificates and souvenirs for all participating students.
All participating students have been awarded with printable digital participation certificates and schools had been provided with a very strong diagnostic report to evaluate student performance and progress during the challenge. Special teacher acknowledgement certificates were also awarded.
3P Learning Programme Manager Iffat Umer said that the contest was aimed at letting students explore and learn through interactive features of the world’s number one online challenge.
She said students from all four provinces and remote areas of the country, including FATA participated in the event. She added that the participation from Special Education and Training Centre, Lahore was commendable in which special students also took part. “Most of the students experienced the game-based learning experience for the very first time; however, it was heartening to see how our students are ready to take a leap and stand with the rest of the world if provided with an opportunity.”
Talking about feedback, she was of the view that a warm, encouraging and excited feedback had been received from students, parents, teachers and school administrations. She added that sponsorships and support from private/public sector could help benefit communities from the global resources and extend the love of learning.
