WAH CANTT: University of Wah Vice Chancellor, Professor Dr Khaliq ur Rehman Shad, chaired the fourth periodic meeting of the Board of Advanced Studies and Research (BASR) at the Seminar Hall of the university.
The board deliberated on the launch of PhD degree programmes in the departments of Biosciences, Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics and Education. In the meeting, principal officers, deans, directors and senior faculty members also participated. The R&D director and POF general manager also attended the meeting as representatives of POFs.
It was decided that two-year MBA and MS degree programmes in the Management Sciences, MS in Computer Sciences, MS in Civil, Chemical and Mechatronics Engineering programmes were recommended after necessary amendments for the submission to the Academic Council and the Board of Governors for the final approval.
The board also approved the research topics and GECs of the post-graduate students of the university.
