KARACHI: A young girl was shot dead inside her house in Banaras Colony allegedly by her brother. She died on the spot and her body was later taken to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital.
Police officials also reached the site following the incident to investigate. SHO Ghulam Hussain Korai said that the deceased was shot dead by her brother, Shaheen Khan, adding that the accused later managed to escape after committing the crime.
The police have taken the deceased’s father, Saleem Khan, for questioning as the police suspect that the brother killed the sister in the name of honour. The officer said that the actual motive behind the incident could only be ascertained after the arrest of the accused but the police is still pursuing him.
