KARACHI: Sindh Governor Muhammad Zubair said on Tuesday that Pakistan-China friendship is bigger than Hamalaya mountains and deeper than the ocean.
“With the passage of time, this friendship is growing more powerful and successful. The China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) project is proof of Pak-China relations. China has always helped Pakistan in troubled times. Both countries are proud of their friendship,” he said, while addressing a reception hosted in honour Prof Justnin Yifu Lin, former chief economist of World Bank.
China Consul General Wang Yu, Port Qasim Authority Chairman Aga Jan Akhtar and members of business committee were also present on the occasion. Sindh governor said that Pak-China friendship is the source of development in both countries, and it will alleviate poverty in the region.
“Sindh will greatly benefit from CPEC project. Karachi has a conducive investment atmosphere and the provincial government is providing support to business community,” he said.
