ISLAMABAD: Information and Broadcasting Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb said the government is taking concrete measures for the revival of the country’s film industry on Saturday.
Addressing a news conference after two-day consultative meeting in Karachi on Saturday, she said that the youth of the country needs to reconnect with its culture and heritage, which was neglected in the past.
Marriyum said ‘Film Policy 2017’ is being prepared in this regard and will be announced very soon. She added that the government would provide all possible facilities to filmmakers of the country.
The Minister said filmmakers would be provided full assistance to import modern equipment and machinery.
To a question she said the issue of terrorism has been resolved by the government due to its effective anti-terrorism policy.
Marriyum said special arrangements are being made for the 70th year celebrations of the country under directions of the Prime Minister.
