NAUNDERO: Pushcart fruit and vegetables vendors were deprived of their entire daily earnings by a gang of two armed motorcyclists in the limits of Mahotta police station, here on Wednesday morning.
The area police did not take any action despite the fact that the fruit and vegetables vendor reported to the police immediately after the incident.
The vendors including Nazir Narejo, Mujahid Mirani, Safiullah Memon, Koral Narejo, Deedar Solangi, Sajan Mirani and others held protest demonstration at Benazir Bhutto Press Club here.
They said that while they were returning from Larkana after buying fruit and vegetables four armed gangsters stopped our van near Dodai village and looted an amount of Rs 0.5 million and cellular phones.
They said that they went to the nearby Mahotta police station, lodged the report and requested the cops not to waste time but to chase them but police only kept us on false & traditional promises and have done nothing as yet to arrest the accused.
