KARACHI: Provincial Minister for Information, Labour & Human Resources, Transport & Mass Transit, Syed Nasir Hussain Shah visited to Valika Hospital SITE, today. Secretary Labour Rasheed Solangi and Commissioner SESSI Farooq Leghari also accompanied him.
During his visit, Minister Information went around ICU, CCU and different sections and wards of hospitals and checked the attendance registers of staff, arrangements of cleanliness and facilities provided to patients.
He inquired about the health of patients and asked if they were facing any problems and issues regarding the treatment at hospital and provision of various health facilities like ultrasound, laboratory and x-ray etc. The patients informed the Minister about the acute shortage of water in the hospital. The Minister advised to resolve the problems of patients immediately. However, patients were satisfied with other facilities and services of the hospital.
Medical superintendent of Valika Hospital, Dr Ali Nawaz Gathoti briefed about the services, facilities and medicines provided at hospital and informed the minister about the problems faced by the hospital administration. The Minister assured that issues of hospital would be resolved soon. He also directed to dispose off the shabby furniture as per the law and said that the cleanliness conditions of the hospital should be improved. Syed Nasir Hussain Shah advised the officers and officials to provide their full dedication towards the provision of optimum facilities to the patients as taking care of patients is worship. The Minister said that the doctors and paramedical staff should maintain punctuality and performance.
