ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Red Crescent Society (PRCS) is organizing flash mobs at Safa Gold Mall, aimed at creating awareness among the people, especially youth, about substance abuse. The flash mobs include a briefed dialogue in which a father struggles to persuade his son, who is addicted of drugs, on stopping this harmful practice.
Talking on this occasion, Pakistan Red Crescent’s officials said their Society was working to make contribution to the efforts being made by the public and private institutions for curbing usage of drugs among the people. They said the flash mobs were being organized to create awareness among the people about harmfulness and negative effects of drugs and for this purpose they find Safa Gold Mall a best place, as it always remained flocked by the customers. An alarming number of the youth, including students, are consumers of the drugs and this is concerning, they regretted. Meanwhile, Safa Gold Mall’s General Manager Mohsin Masood Dar appreciated the PRCS’ activity and asked the Mall’s management for allowing the PRCS’ officials to organize similar activities on the Mall’s premises in future. Mall’s Marketing and Activation Manage Junaid Ahmed said: “the customers start staring and whispering in beginning of the flash mob, but soon they surprise and clap to appreciate the team.”
