ISLAMABAD: Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting Marriyum Aurangzeb has said that the government will fulfill the unfinished agenda of former prime minister Sharif. She said that Nawaz Sharif is the prime minister of the hearts of the people.
Marriyum Aurangzeb said that in the future Nawaz Sharif will be the prime minister of the country. She said that the incomplete task and projects of Nawaz Sharif will be completed in next 10 months. Marriyum Aurangzeb said that all opposition parties especially one party should have need to work in their respective provinces, where they are in government. She said these people have wasted four years and have nothing to tell the people.
Marriyum said that from last four to five days the politics is being done in social media and some circles of electronic media on one woman. She said that if Ayesha Gulalai has leveled any kind of allegation this should be probed at the authentic forum.
Talking to the state-run TV channel after taking oath as minister, Marriyum Aurangzeb said the way the former prime minister served the people in his three tenures has no precedence in our history. She said this is the reason that Nawaz Sharif lives in the hearts of the people. The Minister said Nawaz Sharif always upheld rule of law. She said the new cabinet is the continuity of the Mian Nawaz Sharif’s cabinet.
She said the current cabinet will complete the incomplete task of prime minister of Pakistan Muhammad Nawaz Sharif. She said we will approach the masses in 2018 after completion of the manifesto of the party announced in 2013 elections. She said the members in the cabinet have been included from all party and regions of the country. She said there is representation of women and minorities in the cabinet.
The Minister urged the opposition to play their role to strengthen the federation. She said the opposition parties have governments in the provinces and they should also contribute to the development of the country.
Marriyum Aurangzeb said those using the social media must exercise their freedom of expression with utmost responsibility and avoid mudslinging and personal attacks. Responding to a question about former PTI leader Ayesha Gulalai, she regretted that politics is being done on the issue which must be avoided. She said our great religion Islam gives great respect to women.
She said the allegations hurled by Ayesha Gulalai should be investigated. She said the women parliamentary caucus will also play its role in the matter. Marriyum Aurangzeb said that she will continue to work for the welfare and training of the journalists.
