GUJRAT: Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) President Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain has said that the “heinous conspiracy of Nawaz Sharif to undermine army and judiciary will fail”.
Addressing a gathering on the death anniversary of Chaudhry Zahur Elahi Shaheed here on Monday, Shujaat said the Nawaz Sharif had tried his level best to defame two supreme institutions, the army and the apex court.
“The Supreme Court deserves appreciation for withstanding everything with courage,” he said, and predicted that circumstances in the country would change in the days to come.
Referring to the Model Town incident, Shujaat said that both Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Rana Sanaullah had been accused of massacre in the Model Town incident. He said that nobody would dare to shed blood of the innocent people if both the accused get punished.
PML-N senior leader Pervaiz Elahi, Ch Wajahat Hussain and Hussain Elahi were also present on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, Pervaiz Elahi said that the Punjab chief minister had utilised 63 percent of the province’s budget in Lahore while the rest of the province had become a victim of deprivation.
In his address, Ch Zaheeruddin said Nawaz Sharif and Shehbaz Sharif were responsible for Model Town tragedy.
