DADU: The prices of daily use commodities including vegetables, chicken, meat and fruits were soared in markets of Dadu district, Daily Times learnt on Friday.
The retailers and coomon citizens have demanded government to take action against the agents, wholesalers of vegetables, fruits and meat in district.
The market committee, town committee, district administration and animal husbandry and live stock departments are charging bribes from the wholesalers and are not any action, alleged citizens.
According to survey conducted by this correspondent at various vegetables, fruit and meat markets in Dadu, Johi, Mehar and KN Shah towns on Fridaywhere citizens complained of rising of prices.
During visit at Dadu vegetable market, Ahmed Bux, a customer buying vegetable said that within three days, the price of tomato was raised from 60 rupees to 120 rupees per kg.
Vegetable Vander, Ahmed Kamal said that they have not list the price of vegetables since last Ramzan month and list would be provided him in next Ramzan month.
The price of the chicken was rose from 200 rupees to 300 per kg but no one was ready to control the prices of chicken in city as the seller of chicken and agent are selling it with their own wishes prices.
The chicken seller vendor Nazeer Khushik said that as soon as mercury season was start form chicken were died due to heat weave and now chicken was short in Dadu city that’s why rates of chicken were increased in the city.
The price of fruits in market are also soared according to daily times the price of apples were increased in per kg 270 from 300, the price of oranges one kg kick up 70 pg from 100 rupees one kg, the price of banana one dozen increased 60 from 100 rupees one dozen and the other price of fruits were also increased.
Citizen Mohammad Anis said that he bought fruits daily wages in market while as soon as heat weave has start in Dadu city the fruit rates were increased by fruit venders and they were not decreasing but their price were increasing day by day and no one authorities officials are ready to take action against fruits vendors.
The middle men of fruit market Hakim Khan said that the big market of Karachi has increased the price of fruits that’s why fruits price were increased and they have not increased artificial rates of fruits.
Talking to Daily Times assistant commissioner Dadu Saleem Ahmed Memon said that he has not received and complaints against high prices of vegetables, meat and fruits, adding that if complaint was submitted by complainer he was ready to take action against market middle men.
