QUETTA: A bill would be introduced d into Balochistan Assembly to enforce nutrition emergency among children and women. A resolution would also be moved in the House and members would be briefed in this regard.
This was stated by health minister Rehmat Saleh Baloch while addressing meeting of provincial fortification Alliance.
Stake holders UNICEF, WHO, World Food Programme and others as well as MPAs Dr Shama Ishaq, Ms Yasmeen Lehri, Ms Samina Khan, Ms Masooma Hayat, Ms Arifa Siddiq and Wiliam Barkat also attended.
Director General Health Balochistan Dr Masood Nosherwani, Director Balochistan Nutrition Programme Dr Ai Nasir Bugti, Coordinator Fortification Alliance Dr Khwaja Saud briefed meeting on nutrition among children and women and measures for their prevention They said that our children suffer form 52 percent ratio which is even higher than African countries.
Dr Bugti said that nutrition cell website has been formed and parliamentarians can monitor among their circles.
