PESHAWAR: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan said the country lacks good governance owing to the presence of people like Najam Sethi in every institution while speaking at a seminar on Saturday.
He believes the biggest challenge today is provision of employment for youth.
Speaking at a Seminar “Digital Youth,” the PTI Chief praised the efforts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Chief Minister Pervez Khattak in trying to invite investment for the province.
Imran Khan attended an event in Peshawar where he shared some experiences of his personal life and told that those who only think about their own life never gain success. “People only remember those people who dedicate their lives for others’ help,” he added.
While praising KP CM, he expressed satisfaction over upcoming investment in the province, mentioning China’s efforts to eradicate poverty over the past 25 years. He said, “Youth is the future of this country.” He said that the field of information technology is “our future”.
Imran Khan slammed the government for lack of good governance and claimed that profitable institutes like PIA and Steel Mills were destroyed by people like ‘Najam Sethi’.
Moreover, he also suggested holding the next Digital Youth Summit is Arbab Niaz Stadium for more involvement of youth.
He was of the view that longing for luxuries such as cars and other comforts of life is not a goal one should be seeking to achieve. He urged the participants to work for the well being of others. “And that goal cannot be achieved without looking beyond oneself,” he remarked.
