GUJRANWALA: Citizens were deprived of cash, gold ornaments, vehicles and other valuables in various hits in Gujranwala on Tuesday.
In Baghbanpura police station limit, robbers looted Rs. 14,000 and a cell phone from Basharat, meanwhile in Peoples’ Colony bandits snatched Rs. 15,000, two cell phones and gold ornaments from Waseem. In Ali Pur Chatha armed men intercepted Faisal and his family and stole Rs. 80,000, gold ornaments and other valuables, while in Sadar Wazirabad area, Dilshad was deprived of Rs. 40,000, three cell phones and a gold chain at gun point. In Kotwali, robbers looted Rs. 23,000, gold ornaments and a cell phone from a woman.
A similar incident occurred in Gakhar Mandi – bandits looted Rs. 30,000 and a cell phone from Jasim. In Tatleywali, armed men broke into Farooq’s house to steal Rs. 50,000, gold ornaments and other valuables. In yet another incident at Ferozwala, bandits snatched Rs. 22,000, a gold ring and a cell phone from Waheed.
In Sadar Gujranwala police station limits, Riasat was deprived of Rs. 67,000, three cell phones and gold ornaments. Meanwhile, in Ahmed Nagar swindlers took away cash, gold ornaments and a cell phone from Abdul Jabbar.
In Sadar Wazirabad, armed men looted Rs. 20,000, a cell phone and gold ornaments from Ghafran and his family. Finally, in a multitude of theft incidents, unknown thieves swept the houses and shops of Ali Raza, Fareed, Nafees, Murid Hussain and Jasim while a car belonging to Imran and a motorcycle belonging to Ishaq were stolen from different places. Police have registered the cases.
