SHEIKHPURA – A district and session court has sentenced three men to death on Wednesday for charges related to committing blasphemy.
The court also fined them Rs 200,000 each, in case they are unable to pay their hefty fine the court has ordered all the accused to undergo six months of rigorous punishment.
The Additional District and Sessions Judge Mian Javed Akram in his delivered verdict ruled that the three members of the Ahmadi community who belong to the Bhoaywal village have committed blasphemy by displaying a poster and banners of their place of worship in what is supposed to be deeply offending to the populous
Riaz Hussain, a shopkeeper, had filed a complaint against the three men at the Sharqpur police station.
