LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Tuesday asserted that the confrontation between state institutions is not good for the country
In a meeting with Maryam Nawaz in Lahore, he emphasised that there should be better ties among all national institutions.
“The current atmosphere of confrontation between the institutions is not in the interest of the country,” CM Punjab said.
The assertions came with reference to the recent controversy stirred after Interior Minister Ahsan Iqbal and DG ISPR Major General Asif Ghafoor Bajwa made comments in response to each other.
The meeting was also attended by Hamza Shehbaz. Both members of the sharif family were seen together in any meeting after a hiatus of six months. Maryam run the campaign of by-elections of NA-120 alone as Hamza was in London during that period.
In a long awaited meeting, they discussed the ley issues related to the current political situation in the country along with the different party members.
CM also asked Maryam about the health condition of Begum Kulsoom Nawaz who has undergone cancer treatment in London.
