ISLAMABAD: A Pakistan Air Force C-130 aircraft landed back at Pakistan Air Force (PAF) Base Nur Khan after delivering relief goods for the earthquake affected areas of Iran.
The aircraft delivered more than 12 tonnes of relief goods including 165 tents, 1050 blankets, 200 tarpaulins, 200 plastic mats, perishable items and other supplies. Pakistan National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) had dispatched the humanitarian relief assistance to the earthquake victims of Iran which was handed over to the Iranian authorities at Tehran. “PAF’s transport fleet has always been at the forefront of helping calamity stricken people in the country as well as other friendly countries,” the PAF said in a statement. Pakistan and Iran enjoy a long-standing friendship, which has been reflected by the fact that Iran has accepted the aid from only one country which is Pakistan, the PAF statement concluded.
