LAHORE: Chief of Army Staff (COAS) on Tuesday chaired special Corps Commander Conference at military’s General Headquarters (GHQ).
The meeting primarily focused on the evolving geo-strategic environment and internal security issues, Major General Asif Ghafoor reported.

Prime Minister Abbasi on Tuesday also chaired a National Security Committee (NSC). The meeting primarily focused on Trump’s tweet regarding US aid to Pakistan.
In his early-morning New Year’s Day tweet, said: “The United States has foolishly given Pakistan more than 33 billion dollars in aid over the last 15 years, and they have given us nothing but lies & deceit, thinking of our leaders as fools.”
