Islamabad: One soldier killed while two other injured in a land mine blast in the Sarobai area of the North Waziristan agency of FATA when they were busy in patrolling in the area as their vehicle hits with a land mine planted on the road.
According to the political administration army vehicle was in routine patrolling in the area when hits with a planted explosive materials in which sepoy Amanullah killed while Havaldar Fazal Abbas and sepoy Nafees received injuries which were shifted to the CMH hospital Banu.
Security forces cordoned off the area and conducted search operation but no one arrested till filing this report.
In December 2017 an army second lieutenant Abdul Moeed and sepoy Basharat were killed in North Waziristan agency when militants opened fire on them as security forces on target of the militants after the successive operation Zarb-e-Azb in North Waziristan in which army claimed that North Waziristan has been cleared from the militants.
Governor Khyber Pakhtun Khwa Engineer Iqbal Zafar Jhagra expressed deep grief on the loss of precious lives and told the whole nation with the security forces in countering terrorism in the country, He praised the sacrifices of the forces for restoring peace in the area.
North Waziristan is shared a waste border with Afghanistan where the armed forces conducted the largest offensive against the warlords and cleared the Agency after two years of hard battling , As army is busy in border fencing in FATA to stop the movement of the insurgent across the border.
