RAWALPINDI: Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa chaired 208th Corps Commanders’ Conference at General Head Quarters (GHQ) on Wednesday.
According to a press release issued by Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the conference chaired by COAS reviewed the country’s geo-strategic environment specially in the context of United States’ (US) policies related to the region.
During the meeting, progress of operation Radul Fasaad was discussed, while talking about Indian violations of the ceasefire agreement, the forum stressed that Pakistan’s forces would befittingly respond to Indian aggression.
The forum reiterated that gains of years long counter terrorism efforts should be carried forward for eradication of extremism from the country, protection of the national interest and maintenance of peace and stability throughout the region.
