DUBAI: Former Pakistan cricket team captain Shahid Afridi on Tuesday announced that his charity would bring back 20 Pakistanis suffering in Dubai jails.
The announcement was made by Afridi on Twitter, after he met the police authorities in Dubai. He said that Shahid Afridi Foundation would initiate the process of repatriation of 20 Pakistani inmates by paying their fine within two months.
“Distinctive achievement for Shahid Afridi Foundation as it initiates the repatriation of Pakistanis from Dubai, bringing joy to their families,” Afridi posted. “I thank H.E LT. Gen Dhahi Khalfan Tamim Deputy CH police & security in Dubai & Dr Brg MohdAlmur Head of human rights in Dubai Police HQ,” he added.
