KARACHI: A target killer – belonging to MQM, who was arrested by Sindh Rangers, has confessed to his crimes in front of a joint investigation team.
The accused – named Imran – confessed to being involved in 14 attacks during the May 12 incident. He also revealed that he had burnt lawyers alive; along with setting shops ablaze and killing rivals.
Imran – aka Saeed – confessed to all these crimes in front of investigators. According to the interrogation report, the accused admitted to being involved in May 12 riots and Tahir Plaza tragedy where he made 14 successive attacks.
The suspect claimed that he burnt six lawyers alive, while the chemical to set fire was brought by the manufacturer Nawab Bobby himself. He said that he murdered advocate Abdul Waheed Qureshi near city court on May 12, 2007.
Other confessions included killing Kamran – also known as Jharru – because of a confrontation during 2010 and murdering another two people near Civil Hospital during 2011.
The accused belongs to MQM sector at Burns Road. He admitted collecting money from Zakat and donations worth millions for the party. His team members including Faisal Mama, Kamran Badshah, Imran and Mubashir have already been arrested.
