RAWALPINDI: A new salary package has been announced for the staff who would by employed for double shift duty in the schools of Punjab, including Rawalpindi.
A decision regarding this has been taken whereby teachers employed for the double shift would receive Rs 18,000 extra salary. The junior teachers would be paid Rs 15,000 extra, while other employees would be paid Rs 7,000 extra. The school head would be paid a normal salary along with Rs 20,000 extra.
The Teachers Union of Punjab has termed the move to initiate double shifts in schools a flop idea, while schools wherein double shift is operating have failed to show any fruitful results till now.
