ISLAMABAD: Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI) Chairman Khalid Iqbal Malik, has called upon the government to shift the district courts from F-8 Markaz, Islamabad to ease the problems of business community as existence of courts in this business centre was a high security risk due to which business activities were suffering.
The ICCI chairman was talking to a delegation of Traders Welfare Association (TWA), F-8 Markaz, Islamabad that visited ICCI led by TWA President Sardar Tahir.
Khalid Iqbal Malik said that two terrorist attacks had already occurred in the districts courts in Islamabad in which dozens of people were killed including a civil session judge and some lawyers. He said that following the recent attack on a court in Charsadda that left at least 8 people dead, traders and residents of F-8 area were very much concerned as there was always a security threat due to the presence of a court in their area.
He said the litigants coming to attend district courts were used to parking vehicles in front of residential areas in F-8 due to which the residents were facing great problems and this situation was creating security risks as well.
