ISLAMABAD: The teachers working in various government education institutions of Islamabad on daily wages have not been paid salaries for the last four months, and have announced to boycott the classes if their demands are not met till Feb 27.
These teachers have protested that the Capital Administration and Development Division Ministry has not taken any step to ensure payment of outstanding salaries to them and regularisation of their service. The teachers have announced that if they are not paid salaries and are not regularised, then they would boycott classes from Feb 27 onwards.
According to sources, CADD minister Dr Tariq Fazal Chaudhry has asked the ministry to work out a summary in this regard, so that he could ask the Finance Ministry to resolve the matter on urgent basis.
It is pertinent to mention here that the Finance Ministry has rejected the summary of CADD ministry regarding the payment to daily-wage employees.
